A week’s worth of prep, madness, and some serious fumes in the kitchen from various Mexican chilies and we created a memorable night in Fryeburg at the Oxford House. What started off as a lark turned into a sold out night with no tables available for the many calls that came in over the weekend leading up to the dinner. I really want to thank the hard work and enthusiasm of Jonathan and Natalie for making this possible. Jonathan is a great chef and it’s worth while eating at the Oxford House if you’re up here staying with us, although it may be a while before we go through the theme night again. I also wanted to thank everyone who came to dinner that night, I really enjoyed the opportunity to show off Mexican cuisine that is true to its roots in southern Mexico. And for those that missed Natalie’s pear-ginger margaritas, I think those may still be available!
It’s now time to tart up the grounds and house to get ready for Hilary’s mum and our first wedding of the season is on the way, have to see what treats I’m building for that special day.
